ITZY is a Korean girl group which started in 2019 under JYP Entertainment. The group is composed of 5 members and ITZY’s fandom name is Midzy. It’s the combination of ITZY and the word “confidence” in Korean.

Formation of the group
The 20 january 2019, JYP announced a new girl group after the group Twice, and this new group will start the next month. The group contains 5 mebers: Yeji (appeared in TheFan), Lia, Ryujin (participated in Mixnine), Chaeryeong (was in Sixteen) and Yuna. Jeon Somi was supposed to join the group but she left JYP Entertainment.
